About - Why me Lord?

The questions that have been asked over and over, “WHY?” & “What if?

  • Why at your age are you doing this?

  • Why are you going to a place where you do not know the culture, language or customs?

  • What do you think you can offer at your age?

  • What if you get sick?

  • Why are you leaving everyone who loves you to go to Kenya?

  • Are you not scared?

These are all good questions, all of which I have had to answer, and my answer is “God called me to GO”.

Acts 1:8 tells us “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

All the way back in the very first call to GO, Genesis 12: 1-3, God called Abram to go, and there was a sacrifice.

1 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

This will be my third trip to Kenya with the first two consisting of just more than a week. On my first visit, in July 2022, most of the time was with the children at the Ndalani, the main MCF campus and where Charles and Esther make their home.  The children there gave me the name of ShoSHO which is grandmother in Swahili – and is my favorite name.

My second trip in October 2022, yes three months later, we took a trip to the coast and met the boys at Ngong and the girls at Malindi. The campus at Ngong was started by a former benefactor of MCF. He knew where he would be had he not been rescued. He started this mission to rescue the boys that were just where he had been before MCF found him.

The girls at Malindi have been rescued from human trafficking and street prostitution. They are educated, taught a trade so they will be able to provide for themselves and their family but most of all, they are loved unconditionally. Malindi is the campus where God is calling me to invest my time. There are a multitude of things I would love to share with these amazing young ladies, but most of all I want to love on them and learn from them. After hearing Daddy and Mama Mulli talk about Malindi and then in a two hour visit with the staff and residents of this wing of MCF, I fell totally in love with them and feel called to share the love God has so richly bestowed on me with them.

Please pray for the girls and the staff at Malindi as well all at Mully Children’s Family. This mission, MCF, through God’s providing, is transforming lives.
